About Betsy
I am a licensed clinical social worker with a private practice servicing children, adolescents, college students, families and older adults. In addition to a Master's degree in social work, I have a Master's degree in Recreation Therapy, and I combine a great deal of play therapy and sensory activities when working with children.
I have been practicing for over 35 years in the Triangle area. Formerly, I have worked at UNC Hospitals in Pediatrics, General Medicine, Neurosurgery and Neurology, in inpatient psychiatry at Durham Regional Hospital, SAS Institute, Inc., taught in the UNC Medical School and served as a consultant to local pediatricians, preschools and other health care professionals.
I am a Chapel Hill native, have two children and am married to a local physician.
